Most Customer Experiences are bland and forgettable but we can do better!
When you consider how much time we spend being customers, actively or passively (being presented with a myriad of marketing messages), that adds up to a lot of time. Most of our waking hours, in fact. How great are most of your experiences? Are they living up to your expectations, or do you feel that there’s a lot of room for improvement? If you could find great Customer Experiences in one place, based on customer’s findings instead of marketing promises, how much would that improve your life and your work?
If you do a Google search for great Customer Experiences or Customer Experience reviews, you’ll find a page full of listings (results 1-10 of 107 million!) for businesses offering services to help other companies improve their Customer Experience, talking about Moments of Truth and the wakeup call needed for businesses to respond to their customers.
But what about customers where do we go to find great Customer Experiences? What if you want to build a travel itinerary of great Customer Experiences, or even nearer to home, plan a great day out for your significant other, family or business associates? Finding the proverbial needle in a haystack might seem easy by comparison!
This site is dedicated to helping customers both consumers and businesses find and help influence the kind of Customer Experiences we all know we’d prefer. Instead of indifferent or bland, how about WOW for a new standard? How would it feel to weave lots of great Customer Experiences into your personal and business life?
This site is independent and free to all customers searching out and contributing reviews on Customer Experiences. It’s built on the same concept of collective contribution that has fuelled the rapid growth of Wikipedia: the more we share and pool our knowledge, the greater will be our shared body of knowledge, in this case, a worldwide directory of great Customer Experiences.
How does it work? Simple: if you are looking for great Customer Experiences, you can do a quick search, based on your pre-selected category (e.g. travel) and location (e.g. USA, UK) and read the current reviews. If you decide one of the Customer Experiences looks, sounds, and feels right for you, experience it for yourself (each review will include contact details to make that as easy as possible). Then, please come back and give us your thoughts, so we can all benefit from your experience. Think of it as a village water well that we can all draw from, and in this case, contribute back to as well. You may also wish to Pay it Forward by leaving reviews, even if you don’t check one out on that visit.
So as we build up our store of reviews, the aim is for everybody who visits this site to be able to find great Customer Experiences for their own use, as gift ideas for others, or to pass on to friends and family. We all love to be let in on great experiences, and it’s also nice to be recognised for being able to pass on great recommendations, isn’t it?
But hey, beyond the great feeling of ‘Winning by Sharing’ (with thanks to Leon Benjamin for writing his profound book of the same name), great Customer Experiences should be fun. So every month, we’ll be giving out prizes. The more you contribute, the better your odds, with each month’s winner receiving a $100 iTunes voucher. And if you sign up for our free newsletter, you’ll be in the running for our monthly newsletter reader prize draw, with the lucky winner receiving a $50 Amazon voucher (or equivalent amount for use on your preferred Amazon site).
Most visitors to this site are fortunate enough to have plenty of choice in their daily lives, including the power to choose their own Customer Experiences. Recognising that many are far less fortunate, you’ll find logos here for social enterprise foundations that are redefining charitable giving, to ensure the most effective methods of targeting giving to yield the biggest benefits for those in need.
